Founder of Gaston Leadership Coaching
About Pat Gaston

He was born in Abilene, Texas and raised outside of Lubbock, Texas and is the last the last of nine kids. His father retired as a non-commissioned officer in the Air Force and his mother retired as elementary education teacher. This is where he derived his values of hope and love and his purpose in life - helping others.
He was honored to be nominated by his Congressional representative and attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. While at the Academy he rose to a regimental leadership position his senior year. He was commissioned into the Army as a second lieutenant and served in the military due to his sense of patriotism, drive for excellence, and to develop and use the leadership skills he gained. Taking care of soldiers and their families, as well as developing leaders provided meaning and purpose to his military career. He excelled throughout his career and was among the approximately 12% of second lieutenants who rise through the rank of lieutenant colonel and the 5-8% who are selected to command a battalion of soldiers. He considers his greatest accomplishments were leading soldiers in Operation Iraqi Freedom and that Army officers he trained and developed went on to have successful careers of their own.
Upon retirement from the military as a lieutenant colonel, he interviewed with Boeing due to the company's important missions - concerning military, commercial aviation products, and services. He continued working with people in support of process improvement teams and Vice Presidents in the Commercial and Services businesses.
His pursuit of coaching enables him to continue pursuing his life’s purpose of “helping others” and bringing his personal and professional experience and expertise into every engagement with clients. This journey allows him to combine a love for meaningful conversations with the drive to support others in leading with purpose and intention - partnering with them to transform their lives.
